Hi, I’m Colleen, and I’ve been in your shoes.

When I started my own independent educational consulting practice back in 2010, I knew plenty about college admissions but not one thing about running a business. As the years passed and I began to expand and scale my practice, the entrepreneurial innovations that I discovered along the way excited and energized me.

It hit me that there is more to a successful business than just being good at what you do. There’s back-end stuff like contracts and emails and questionnaires and guides that you need to have for best practices and best client results, but these just don’t appear out of thin air. You have to create them. But if you don’t know what you’re doing, it’s so easy to miss steps or set up an incomplete system for working with clients. It can be intimidating and overwhelming. 

Colleagues began seeking me out to ask if I would be willing to give them career advice and help them implement the same strategies that led to my own success and profitability, and as one thing led to another, Educational Advisory Group was born. 

Over the last decade, I have:

• Scaled my “side hustle” to reach and sustain a consistent mid-six-figure income 

• Built a loyal team of employees and contractors, both in-person and remote

• Achieved incredible levels of client satisfaction with over 70% of my client base coming from word-of-mouth referrals

• Automated the majority of my processes and established streamlined workflows and systems 

• Established myself as a leading college admissions expert in national and local media outlets

I’m not going to promise that you can “have it all,” but you can have a lot with the right systems in place.
